Pixar’s been hard at work with what might be a return to form for the studio, which has had a rather rough patch full of sequels and films that end up falling flat. Last year, we learned about Gatto, a new flick directed by Enrico Casarosa, who previously worked on Luca.
The film has now seen a new poster featuring a silhouette of the black cat, Nero standing on top of the name of the film. The stylized green image donning whiskers and ears on the “O” seen at D23 was simply a placeholder.
Gatto takes place in Venice where Nero is indebted to the feline mob where finds himself questioning if he has lived the right lives. This leads to him finding a new friendship with local street artist Maya.
Gatto releases to theaters on March 5, 2027.
