Follow Da Rulez
Quote from GSR on December 4, 2025, 8:40 PMObviously, like any other forum, Toon Scout has rules to follow. By using the forum, you agree to follow all the following rules.
Don’t link to the following (and what you should know about other types):
- Racist Propaganda
- Illegal Sexual Activities
- Warez
- Piracy sites
In terms of adult content (IE porn), please don’t link it. I’m not sensitive to it or anything, but I don’t wanna see some Karen in my inbox screaming that lil’ Timmy saw some boobies.
We will give you a time-out of 24-48 hours on your first offense, and subsequent offenses may see either a longer time-out or an outright ban. If I/staff catch wind that you are ban evading, more actions will be taken (such as IP banning).
Don’t make cursing your identity.
I don’t care if you curse, Toon Scout isn’t a kids forum, obviously. By joining the forum, you should expect potentially explicit discussions to be had. I have a day job in retail, the amount of times I have someone cursing at me over public policies is bat-shit crazy. This one, I think, is a pretty easy rule to follow; don’t curse to an extreme extent. What do I mean?
Acceptable: “That’s fucking insane!”
Unacceptable: “That’s motherfucking bat-shit fucking insane!”
This isn’t likely to result in bans unless you’ve been warned repeatedly. And no, having Tourettes is not an excuse for text.
Respect others here.
Continued excess flaming, taunting of specific people or groups of people will also get you a time-out/ban. It’s pretty simple — don’t be a jerk, and we won’t have any problems. Myself/mods will tell you if you’re going too far. I’m all about free speech and all that stuff, but there’s a time and place and we aren’t some 4Chan mirror focusing on animation, so don’t be a dick.
Don’t boast about how many posts you’ve made.
Nobody cares that you’ve got a ton of posts. Post when relevant and please keep it relevant. No one cares that you’re eating spaghetti on the John while scrolling through the forum. Please keep the discussions relevant to the topic at hand. Myself/mods will remind people if things are veering off-topic.
Don’t be a bot (and report ’em if you see ’em).
This is more of a call to arms to users that forum sites take a ton of crap to keep up and running and unfortunately… so bots are bound to seep into the fray. While I do have stuff to lessen the bots appearing, I am just one man running this to revive an old website, albeit under a different domain. Moreover, I have a full-time job so help would totally be appreciated! If you notice a user that seems suspiciously like a bot, please report them.
Signs that a user may be a bot include (but are not limited to):
- Promotion of a shady product (such as casino websites, boner pills, porn sites, SEO companies, etc.)
- Using a “firstnamebunchanumbers” type of username.
- Using bizarre pfps, such as a conventionally attractive individual.
